If you’d like to graduate from high school with both a diploma and a university-transferable Associate in Arts (AA) degree, the Collegiate High School may be the program for you!
Starting in the 10th grade, participants spend part of the school day at a BCC campus taking courses that satisfy both high school graduation and AA degree requirements. The other part is spent at the high school completing required high school courses. College credits earned at BCC transfer to any of Florida’s public universities provided that the receiving university offers the same course with the same course number.
Besides the educational benefits, participants also enjoy a substantial financial benefit. The Associate in Arts Degree is comparable to the freshman and sophomore years of a university program. By receiving an Associate in Arts (AA) Degree at your high school graduation, you will have completed two years of college with NO tuition, textbook and residency costs. Your only potential cost could be the purchase of one-time use instructional materials required in selected courses.
